Brain on Anxiety

The painting, "Brain on Anxiety", has a multitude of emotions and flying expressions speckled across the canvas, depicting the panic and fears that lie within the mind of a person distraught with anxiety.  The rise of bubbling trepidation is visualized through the fire built from golden, copper, and crimson hues, splayed in a distinct pattern at the base of the painting.  Hand prints occupy the face hidden underneath, suggesting the anxiety swelling below is inching closer and threatening an attack, with the fingers being used to deflect the assault. Warmth encompasses the subject, as if to communicate the depth at which the mind is reaching and being pulled in countless directions. Splatter drips and chaos seem to be frozen in the exact moment this breach of the mind was captured in an image,  with the artist giving complexity to the moments before a panic attack engulfs a person to point of paralyzing terror.
